Progressive expansion in Canada was accompanied by the opening of IKO's first plant in Europe in 1972, at Ham, Belgium, and first plant in the United States in 1979, at Wilmington, Delaware.

The founding principles are as relevant in the 21st century as they were at the outset, with the business continuing its successful growth into the third generation.
